"Breath: Wake up to Life" (St. Martins) was published on January 28th. Indian and Italian versions will be published soon. Negotiations for publishing contracts in other languages are also underway.
This is a great honor for Bunya, who planned, edited and published the original (Japanese) version of this book. Mr. Rawat is called an "ambassador of peace," but I have also called him an "evangelist of breath" for some time now. Mr. Rawat is the only person in human history who has traveled around the world and continued to speak about the "value" of breathing for nearly 60 years. I hope that by reading this book all over the world, his "message of inner peace" will spread throughout the world.
So Bunya will hold a commemorative lecture for the world publication of "Breath" and a dinner party in Kyoto, Mr. Prem Rawat's beloved city. The venue will be a long-established hotel.

On October 29, 2022, I handed over the newly completed Japanese version of "Breath" to Mr. Prem Rawat in Tokyo.
Four days before the event, Bunya will invite Mr. Prem Rawat and his wife to the world premiere of a stage performance based on the masterpiece of the world-famous painter Hokusai. Why not come and enjoy the wonderful time and space with them?
We are also running the Kifubon Donation Project, which will donate the Japanese version of "Breath" to children.

180 years ago, Hokusai painted "Phoenix Glancing in All Directions" at the Gansho-in temple in Obuse, Shinshu. In the early spring of 2024, the soul of Hokusai contained in this painting became a bundle of light and like lightning, it poured down on the body of contemporary dancer Shizuno Nasu. The meeting of two souls came true after many years. The stage performance "Fire and Water HIKARI" is a flash of light born from the chemical reaction of two souls.

"Fire and Water: HIKARI" was written, directed, and starred in by Shizuno Nasu. Shonosuke Okura of Otsuzumi (large hand drum), musicians, videographers, and dancers who deeply sympathize with Nasu's thoughts, will be dancing on the stage. Satoru Inoue, author of "Born to Have Fun: Originally Perfect, Now the Best!", will gently explain what it means to "live with your soul."

A festival of talks and dance "Katsushika Hokusai Fire and Water: HIKARI".

"Fire and Water: HIKARI" The motif is Hokusai's four greatest masterpieces from his final years.
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) believed that "to live is to paint," and lived his life as an artist, following his soul's lead.
Then, in the final chapter of his 90-year life, he met Takai Kozan, a wealthy farmer-merchant and cultured man from Obuse, Shinshu. With Kozan's warm support, Hokusai enjoyed his days painting original paintings in Obuse, following his soul's lead. Obuse became Hokusai's "sacred land."
We modern people spend our days comparing ourselves to others, evaluating them, and competing (conflict). Hokusai's way of life conveys the happiness and wonder of living not according to others' axis, but according to our own axis, that is, living according to the desires of each individual soul.

The stage performance "Fire and Water: HIKARI (LIGHT)" is a flash of light born from the chemical reaction of two souls.
Why not meet the soul of Hokusai in Obuse, the mecca of this genius painter?
Have you seen Hokusai's masterpiece, "Under the Great Wave off Kanagawa"? This painting is known worldwide as "The Great Wave". This work gave birth to the trend of "Japonism" in 19th century France, and its waves are still spreading around the world.
This work is a landscape print created by Hokusai when he was around 70 years old. A decade or so after creating this world-famous masterpiece, Hokusai visited Obuse, which became his "sacred land".
In his 80s, Hokusai painted a group of masterpieces of hand-painted paintings in Obuse, which became the culmination of his life. The ultimate crystallization of his life, which shone with his soul, is still carefully preserved in this town.
However, these works are still unknown to the world.
"To live with your soul is to love yourself as you are now and to pursue the things you love and enjoy!"
I feel this message from his masterpieces of hand-painted paintings. And I believe that this voice of his soul and the message that Mr. Prem Rawat is conveying to us in "Hear Yourself" are the same.

《Obuse Hokusai Tour Information》
Would you like to visit Obuse and see the original paintings of Hokusai? !
Bunya has now decided to hold a 3-day, 2-night tour to Obuse by bus on May 11th and 12th, the day after the talk and dance festival "Fire and Water: HIKARI (Light). The tour will cover the cost of the hotel on the night of May 10th, a 400km bus trip from the morning of the next day, sightseeing in Obuse, dinner at a famous Japanese restaurant, and accommodation, and the bus will return to Kyoto city the next evening (two nights, two breakfasts, two lunches, and one dinner).
We will also show you the house where I was born and raised (Bunya's workplace) and the Japanese garden.
You will come face to face with the original paintings of Hokusai. These paintings will be projected onto the stage of the dance performance on the 10th. The location is Obuse, his "sacred land" where Hokusai loved and lived for over 1,100 days. Could there be a more wonderful experience than this?
The cost is 200,000 yen per person. The capacity is 15 people. The first 10 people will receive one special gift.
